PACIFIC SPLASH - - - DE388 I remember when the war was over with Japan, they sent us back to the States from Pearl Harbor. We stopped the ship every day at 1600 for a swim. That was nice, in the Pacific Ocean. The guy I remember the most is Quarter Master HERNBRODE. He Performed a beautiful dive off the bridge or mast. It was a perfect dive.
